Solids have a definite shape and a definite volume. Liquids have no definite shape(Liquids take the shape of the container.) but liquids do have a definite volume. Gases have no definite shape and no definite volume. (Gases will take the shape and volume of any container you put them in.)How does matter change state?
Click for answer
Matter changes state by either adding or removing heat. A change from a solid to a liquid is melting. Liquid to a gas is evaporating(only the surface of the liquid) or vaporizing(all of the liquid). Changing from a gas to a liquid is condensing and a liquid to a solid is freezing. Water is a liquid. It is called ice when it is in a solid state and vapor in its gas form. What is length and how do you measure the length of matter?
